Description
Flaky, creamy, and sweet-savory, these Turkey & Cranberry Pinwheels are the perfect festive bite. Ideal for holiday snacks, post-Thanksgiving leftovers, or cozy fall gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4–6 slices cooked turkey (deli or leftover roast)
- 4 tablespoons cranberry sauce (whole berry or jellied)
- 4 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (optional)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Unroll or lightly roll out your puff pastry on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Evenly spread the cream cheese over the pastry, leaving a half-inch border all around.
- Add slices of turkey in a single layer, followed by dollops of cranberry sauce. Spread gently. Sprinkle thyme over the top if using.
- Carefully roll the pastry into a tight log. Wrap it in plastic wrap and chill for 15–20 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the chilled log into ¾-inch rounds and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush with egg wash and bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let them cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
To make slicing easier, be sure to chill the rolled pastry. Use soft cream cheese and your choice of cranberry sauce. These can be assembled ahead of time and baked fresh when needed.
