Description
These juicy chicken thighs are glazed in a sticky-sweet honey garlic sauce, all made in one skillet in just 25 minutes. Perfect for cozy, comforting dinners without the hassle.
Ingredients
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari/coconut aminos for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley or green onion for garnish
Instructions
- Pat chicken dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken thighs smooth-side down. Sear for 5–6 minutes, flip, and cook another 5 minutes until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Lower heat and add minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over each piece. Let simmer 2 minutes more to absorb flavor.
- Garnish with parsley or green onion. Serve hot with rice, veggies, or warm bread.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for the best flavor. For a gluten-free version, swap soy sauce with tamari. To meal prep, store the glaze separately and reheat with chicken later.
