Description

These Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Roll Mummies are spooky-cute, soft, and full of cozy fall flavor. Flaky dough, pumpkin spice filling, sweet glaze, and candy eyes make them the perfect Halloween breakfast, brunch, or party treat!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • ⅓ cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tbsp softened butter
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk (plus more as needed)
  • Candy eyes
  • Optional: mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let foam, then add flour, salt, egg, and melted butter. Knead until smooth and let rise 60 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin spice, and softened butter.
  3. Roll dough into a rectangle, spread pumpkin filling, then roll up from the long side. Slice into 1-inch rolls.
  4. Flatten rolls slightly and use extra dough strips to wrap like mummy bandages, leaving space for eyes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls on a lined sheet 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make glaze. Drizzle over cooled rolls and add candy eyes.

Notes

Don’t overfill with pumpkin mixture to avoid bursting. Use piping bags for neat glaze. Let glaze set slightly before placing candy eyes so they stay in place.
