Description

Ingredients

  • 12 small corn tortillas (preferably doubled per taco)
  • 1 lb carne asada, carnitas, or pollo asado (cooked and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup diced white onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Fresh lime wedges
  • Salsa (red or green, to taste)
  • Optional: pickled red onions, sliced radishes, avocado slices, cotija cheese


Instructions

  1. Warm corn tortillas on a dry skillet or comal until slightly golden and pliable. Keep warm with a clean towel.
  2. Heat cooked taco meat in a skillet until warmed through and slightly crispy or charred at the edges.
  3. Place a spoonful of meat into each tortilla.
  4. Top with diced onion, chopped cilantro, and a drizzle of salsa.
  5. Serve with fresh lime wedges on the side.
