Description
Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, these Loaded Air Fryer Potato Wedges are the perfect snack, side dish, or main event for fall gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized russet potatoes (or your favorite variety)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or your preferred cooking oil)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
- ½ cup cooked and crumbled halal bacon or plant-based bacon (optional)
- ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt (for drizzling)
- 2 green onions, finely chopped (for garnish)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for extra color and flavor)
Instructions
- Prep the potatoes: Start by washing and scrubbing the russet potatoes to remove any dirt. Leave the skins on for added texture and nutrients. Cut each potato into wedges.
- Soak the wedges: Place the potato wedges in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
- Season and oil: Drain the wedges and pat them dry. Toss the potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Air fry the wedges: Place the wedges in a single layer and air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Load them up: Once golden brown, sprinkle the shredded cheese and cooked bacon over the hot wedges and pop them back into the air fryer for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish and serve: Finish with a drizzle of sour cream and a sprinkle of green onions and parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
For added flavor, try different potato varieties or seasonings. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer to ensure even cooking.
