Description

Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, these Loaded Air Fryer Potato Wedges are the perfect snack, side dish, or main event for fall gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized russet potatoes (or your favorite variety)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or your preferred cooking oil)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
  • ½ cup cooked and crumbled halal bacon or plant-based bacon (optional)
  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt (for drizzling)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped (for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for extra color and flavor)

Instructions

  1. Prep the potatoes: Start by washing and scrubbing the russet potatoes to remove any dirt. Leave the skins on for added texture and nutrients. Cut each potato into wedges.
  2. Soak the wedges: Place the potato wedges in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Season and oil: Drain the wedges and pat them dry. Toss the potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Air fry the wedges: Place the wedges in a single layer and air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Load them up: Once golden brown, sprinkle the shredded cheese and cooked bacon over the hot wedges and pop them back into the air fryer for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish and serve: Finish with a drizzle of sour cream and a sprinkle of green onions and parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, try different potato varieties or seasonings. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer to ensure even cooking.
