- 1 ribeye steak (about 1-1.5 inches thick)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the steak: Start by taking your ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and letting it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Season generously: Pat the steak dry with paper towels, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, and rub this mixture all over the steak.
- Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.
- Cook the steak: Place the ribeye steak in the air fryer basket and cook for about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through.
- Check the internal temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the steak is 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- Rest before slicing: Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes after cooking.
- Garnish and serve: Slice against the grain, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve with your favorite sides.
