Ingredients
- 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin-on
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sliced green onions for garnish
- Sesame seeds, optional
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced ginger, and minced garlic.
- Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour three-quarters of the honey-soy mixture over them. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the Salmon: Add the marinated salmon fillets, skin-side down, into the hot skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving.
- Add the Glaze: Flip the salmon fillets and add the reserved glaze to the pan. Allow it to reduce for another 3-4 minutes.
- Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
