Description
A delicious and simple baked salmon recipe with honey, lime, and garlic, perfect for cozy evenings.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin-on or skinless
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or cilantro, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup. Pat salmon fillets dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Whisk together melted butter, honey, lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, and smoked paprika until smooth.
- Place fillets on the baking sheet, skin-side down if applicable. Spoon or brush about half the glaze evenly over the fillets, reserving the rest for basting.
- Bake for 8–12 minutes, depending on fillet thickness (about 10 minutes for 1-inch-thick fillets). About halfway through, baste with the reserved glaze.
- Broil on high for 1–2 minutes for a caramelized top, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley or cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
Notes
Let salmon sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before baking for even cooking. Adjust sweetness to taste.
