Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin-on or skinless
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or cilantro, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup. Pat salmon fillets dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Whisk together melted butter, honey, lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, and smoked paprika until smooth.
  3. Place fillets on the baking sheet, skin-side down if applicable. Spoon or brush about half the glaze evenly over the fillets, reserving the rest for basting.
  4. Bake for 8–12 minutes, depending on fillet thickness (about 10 minutes for 1-inch-thick fillets). About halfway through, baste with the reserved glaze.
  5. Broil on high for 1–2 minutes for a caramelized top, watching closely to prevent burning.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley or cilantro and serve with lime wedges.

Notes

Let salmon sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before baking for even cooking. Adjust sweetness to taste.
