Description
Enjoy the comforting flavors of Honey Garlic Salmon, perfect for cozy gatherings this fall.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skin-off)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or a gluten-free alternative)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped for garnish (optional)
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger (if using), olive oil, and rice vinegar.
- Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour half of the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well-coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake the Salmon: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Arrange the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down. Drizzle the remaining marinade over the top and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Cook to Perfection: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve: Remove from the oven, let it rest, garnish with fresh parsley or green onions, and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
For best results, use wild-caught salmon. Adjust cooking times for different thicknesses of salmon fillets.
