Description
This warm, simple appetizer brings together sweet figs, crunchy walnuts, gooey brie, and golden honey a rustic fall favorite that feels both comforting and effortless.
Ingredients
- 1 wheel of brie cheese (about 8 oz)
- 5–6 fresh figs, quartered (or use dried figs, rehydrated with a little warm water)
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts
- 2 tablespoons honey (runny and floral works best)
- Optional: 1 tsp finely chopped rosemary
- Crackers or fresh baguette for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the brie wheel on a parchment-lined baking sheet or shallow oven-safe dish.
- Top with figs: Arrange them evenly on top of the cheese.
- Sprinkle walnuts over the figs, letting some fall around the edges.
- Drizzle honey across the top, letting it flow naturally.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese softens but holds its shape.
- Garnish with rosemary if using, and serve warm with fresh bread or crackers.
Notes
Use high-quality brie for best results, toast your walnuts for extra flavor, and serve immediately while warm. Don’t overbake—it should be soft, not runny.
