Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup sunflower oil or olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts or seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add wet ingredients to a separate bowl and mix.
- Combine the mixtures until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover the loaf and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until it sounds hollow.
- Cool the bread for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best results. Allow adequate rising time for a light and fluffy loaf.
