Ingredients
- 4 halibut fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the halibut: Start by patting the halibut fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter: In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
- Cook the fish: Carefully place the halibut fillets in the hot skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until golden. Flip and cook another 4-5 minutes.
- Make the lemon butter sauce: Lower the heat, add lemon juice, zest, and parsley to the melted butter, and stir gently.
- Serve: Plate the halibut and drizzle with lemon butter sauce. Garnish with parsley and lemon slices.
- Enjoy: Serve immediately while it’s hot.
