Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the asparagus by rinsing under cool water and trimming the woody ends.
  3. Combine olive oil (or melted butter), garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  4. Toss the asparagus with the garlic lemon mixture on a baking sheet, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Roast the asparagus for about 15-20 minutes until tender and bright green.
