Description
A quick and flavorful Garlic Butter Salmon recipe, perfect for cozy dinners or elegant gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin on
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional: lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly oil a baking dish.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and smoked paprika evenly over the tops.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and gently sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (do not brown). Stir in lemon juice and zest.
- Place the salmon on the prepared sheet, skin-side down. Brush generously with half the garlic butter mixture. Bake for 10–12 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon is almost cooked through.
- Spoon the remaining garlic butter over the fillets and broil on high for 1–2 minutes for a lightly golden top. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
- Remove from oven, let rest for 2 minutes, sprinkle with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
Room-temperature fish cooks more evenly. Use unsalted butter for better seasoning control.
