Description

A quick and flavorful Garlic Butter Salmon recipe, perfect for cozy dinners or elegant gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin on
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly oil a baking dish.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and smoked paprika evenly over the tops.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and gently sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (do not brown). Stir in lemon juice and zest.
  4. Place the salmon on the prepared sheet, skin-side down. Brush generously with half the garlic butter mixture. Bake for 10–12 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon is almost cooked through.
  5. Spoon the remaining garlic butter over the fillets and broil on high for 1–2 minutes for a lightly golden top. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
  6. Remove from oven, let rest for 2 minutes, sprinkle with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Room-temperature fish cooks more evenly. Use unsalted butter for better seasoning control.
