Description
A mouthwatering Garlic Butter Ribeye Steak recipe that brings warmth and comfort to your table, perfect for fall feasts.
Ingredients
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (or ½ teaspoon dried)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional: a splash of Worcestershire sauce for added flavor
Instructions
- Preparation: Allow the ribeye steaks to come to room temperature for about 30-45 minutes before cooking. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels.
- Seasoning: Generously season both sides of the steaks with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Cooking: Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of oil, just enough to coat the bottom of the pan. Place the steaks in the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them. Flip the steaks and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare.
- Add: In the last couple of minutes, add the butter, minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the pan. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks repeatedly.
- Resting: Remove the steaks from the skillet and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Let them rest for about 5-10 minutes.
- Serve: Slice the steaks against the grain and drizzle the garlic butter from the pan over the top.
Notes
Choose high-quality ribeye steaks for the best flavor and juiciness. Resting the steak is crucial for a moist bite.
