Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp fine sea salt
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (strained if watery)
- Optional: 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional: Sesame seeds, poppy seeds, everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold in the Greek yogurt until a shaggy dough forms.
- Lightly flour your hands and knead the dough on a floured surface for 1–2 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts. Roll each into a log and pinch ends to form a bagel shape. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg or milk. Sprinkle with toppings of choice.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25–28 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
Use thick Greek yogurt and measure flour correctly. Don’t skip the egg wash for shine. Handle dough gently to keep it fluffy.
