Description

This Easy Cheesy Garlic Bread features bubbling cheese and garlicky butter for a cozy treat perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 large loaf of crusty bread (ciabatta or French loaf)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes for a touch of heat

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Slice the loaf in half horizontally, or cut into 1-inch thick slices without cutting all the way through for a pull-apart style.
  3. Make the garlic butter by mixing the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Assemble by spreading a generous layer of garlic butter over the cut surfaces, then sprinkling mozzarella evenly and grating Parmesan over the top.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the edges are golden; switch to broil for 1–2 minutes for a crispier top.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with extra parsley.

Notes

Use room-temperature butter for even mixing, and try adding a small amount of aged cheddar for depth.
