Description
This Easy Cheesy Garlic Bread features bubbling cheese and garlicky butter for a cozy treat perfect for chilly evenings.
Ingredients
- 1 large loaf of crusty bread (ciabatta or French loaf)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes for a touch of heat
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
- Slice the loaf in half horizontally, or cut into 1-inch thick slices without cutting all the way through for a pull-apart style.
- Make the garlic butter by mixing the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Assemble by spreading a generous layer of garlic butter over the cut surfaces, then sprinkling mozzarella evenly and grating Parmesan over the top.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the edges are golden; switch to broil for 1–2 minutes for a crispier top.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra parsley.
Notes
Use room-temperature butter for even mixing, and try adding a small amount of aged cheddar for depth.
