Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil or vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour blend, if desired)
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened (dairy-free if preferred)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Fresh banana slices, for topping
- Ground cinnamon or crushed nuts, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the banana bread batter by combining mashed bananas and melted oil, then mix in brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Sprinkle in baking soda and salt, then fold in flour and optional cinnamon until just incorporated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) and grease the basket.
- Pour the batter into a round cake pan and place in the air fryer, cooking for 25-30 minutes.
- While the base cooks, make the cream cheese topping by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Once the banana bread base is cool, spread the cream cheese mixture on top and decorate with banana slices and garnish.
- Slice into wedges and serve immediately!
