Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil or cooking spray (for air frying)
  • Fresh parsley or lemon wedges (for garnish, optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the prawns: Rinse the prawns under cool water, then pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Make the coating: In a shallow bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Beat the eggs: In a separate bowl, crack the eggs and whisk until well beaten.
  4. Prepare breadcrumbs: In another shallow dish, place the breadcrumbs and break any lumps.
  5. Coat the prawns: Dip each prawn into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for about 5 minutes.
  7. Arrange the prawns in a lightly greased air fryer basket in a single layer.
  8. Cook the prawns for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
