Ingredients
- 500g prawns, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
- 1 Tbsp olive oil or cooking spray (for air frying)
- Fresh parsley or lemon wedges (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the prawns: Rinse the prawns under cool water, then pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Make the coating: In a shallow bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Beat the eggs: In a separate bowl, crack the eggs and whisk until well beaten.
- Prepare breadcrumbs: In another shallow dish, place the breadcrumbs and break any lumps.
- Coat the prawns: Dip each prawn into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for about 5 minutes.
- Arrange the prawns in a lightly greased air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook the prawns for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm, garnished with parsley or lemon wedges.
