Description
Delicious crispy air fryer Hasselback potatoes, perfect for cozy fall nights and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 3-4 medium-sized russet potatoes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh herbs for garnish (such as rosemary or parsley, optional)
- Grated cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Prep the potatoes: Wash the russet potatoes under cold water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- Slice the potatoes: Carefully cut the potatoes into thin slices, making sure not to cut all the way through. Leave about ¼ inch at the bottom, so the slices stay connected at the base.
- Season: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle this mixture generously over each potato, ensuring the seasoning seeps between the slices.
- Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the seasoned potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Add cheese (optional): Sprinkle grated cheese over the tops of the potatoes in the last 5 minutes of cooking, allowing the cheese to melt and become bubbly.
- Serve and garnish: Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh herbs like rosemary or parsley for added flavor. Serve them hot alongside your favorite dipping sauce or as a side dish.
Notes
Tips for success include choosing starchy potatoes and slicing uniformly for even cooking.
