Description
A cozy fall dish that combines ease of preparation with delightful flaky texture and crispy perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 fillets of flaky white fish (like cod or tilapia)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (whole-wheat or gluten-free)
- 1/2 cup flour (or gluten-free flour)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare Your Fish: Pat the fish fillets dry with a paper towel.
- Create the Breading Station: In one bowl, mix the flour with salt and pepper. In a second bowl, whisk together the egg, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. In a third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with garlic powder, paprika, and salt.
- Bread the Fish: Dredge one fillet in the flour mixture, dip it into the egg mixture, and coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat for the second fillet.
- Air Fry the Fish: Place breaded fillets in the air fryer basket, spray lightly with oil, and air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Garnish and Serve: Let fillets rest, garnish with parsley, and serve with seasonal sides like roasted vegetables or salad.
Notes
Choose fresh, high-quality fish for best results. Allow space in the air fryer for optimal crispiness.
