Description
Enjoy healthier, crispy fish fingers made in an air fryer, perfect for cozy family meals.
Ingredients
- 1 pound firm white fish fillets (such as cod, tilapia, or halibut)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- For the Dipping Sauce: 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- A pinch of salt and pepper
Instructions
- Prep your fish: Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Cut the fish into finger-sized strips, approximately 1 inch wide and 4 inches long.
- Set up your breading station: In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour seasoned with salt and pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, and more salt and pepper.
- Bread the fish fingers: Dip each piece of fish into the flour, then the eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently.
- Air fry your fish fingers: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C), spray the basket with cooking spray, and place fish fingers in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
- Prepare the dipping sauce: Mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
