These Crispy Air Fryer Canned Potato Chips are easy to make and perfect for cozy gatherings during fall.
Ingredients
- 2 cans of whole, peeled potatoes (about 15 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted coconut oil)
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
- Freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Open the canned potatoes and drain them thoroughly. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Slice each potato into thin, even rounds (about 1/8-inch thick).
- Combine the potato slices with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl. Toss gently until all slices are coated evenly.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- Place the seasoned potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry the potato slices for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the chips to a cooling rack to help them stay crispy. Serve warm or store for later.
Notes
For best results, make sure to drain and dry your potatoes properly. Experiment with different seasonings for variations.
