Golden, flaky puff pastry bites filled with creamy brie and tangy cranberry sauce. These easy, crowd pleasing appetizers are perfect for fall gatherings and holiday parties.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed but cold)
- 1 small wheel brie cheese (approx. 8 oz), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional: chopped pecans or rosemary for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll the puff pastry onto a floured surface and cut into 12 equal squares.
- Place a cube of brie in the center of each square.
- Spoon about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce over each brie cube.
- Top with chopped pecans or rosemary if desired.
- Fold the pastry corners over the filling or leave them open for a rustic look.
- Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Cool slightly and serve warm.
Notes
Keep the pastry cold for best puff. Use a mini muffin tin to help the bites hold shape. Swap in fig jam or hot pepper jelly for a tasty variation.
