Ingredients
- 1.5 to 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 6 cups low sodium chicken broth
- 1 small onion (or onion powder)
- 2 cloves garlic (or garlic powder)
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1 can cream of chicken soup or 4 ounces cream cheese
- 8 to 10 ounces egg noodles
Instructions
- Add chicken, broth, onion, garlic, and seasonings to the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
- Shred the chicken once cooked.
- Stir in the creamy helper (cream of chicken soup or cream cheese).
- Add noodles for the last 20 to 40 minutes until tender.
