Description

Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, Cookie Croissants are the ultimate hybrid dessert. Combining buttery croissant dough with sweet chocolate chip cookie filling, this easy, crowd-pleasing recipe delivers bakery-level flavor with zero fuss.

Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent roll dough (or puff pastry sheet, thawed)
  • ½ cup chocolate chip cookie dough (homemade or store bought)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)
  • 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt (optional, for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  3. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of cookie dough onto the wide end of each triangle.
  4. Roll each triangle from wide end to point, shaping like a croissant.
  5. Brush tops with melted butter or egg wash for golden color.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden and puffed.
  7. Cool slightly before sprinkling with flaky salt if desired.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Chill cookie dough before using to prevent over-spreading. Don’t overfill to avoid leaking. For crisp layers, give each croissant space on the baking tray. Puff pastry can be used instead of crescent dough for a flakier result.
