Description
Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, Cookie Croissants are the ultimate hybrid dessert. Combining buttery croissant dough with sweet chocolate chip cookie filling, this easy, crowd-pleasing recipe delivers bakery-level flavor with zero fuss.
Ingredients
- 1 can crescent roll dough (or puff pastry sheet, thawed)
- ½ cup chocolate chip cookie dough (homemade or store bought)
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)
- 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)
- Pinch of flaky sea salt (optional, for finishing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of cookie dough onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll each triangle from wide end to point, shaping like a croissant.
- Brush tops with melted butter or egg wash for golden color.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden and puffed.
- Cool slightly before sprinkling with flaky salt if desired.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Chill cookie dough before using to prevent over-spreading. Don’t overfill to avoid leaking. For crisp layers, give each croissant space on the baking tray. Puff pastry can be used instead of crescent dough for a flakier result.
