Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas
- 2 tablespoons butter (or a halal alternative, such as ghee or coconut oil)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- A pinch of salt
- Optional: Vanilla extract (for extra flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer: Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for even cooking.
- Prepare the bananas: Peel and slice them in half lengthwise or into rounds.
- Make the caramel mixture: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
- Coat the bananas: Melt butter (or alternative) and dip banana halves into the mixture.
- Sprinkle the banana halves with the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly covered.
- Place in air fryer: Arrange coated bananas in a single layer in the basket.
- Air fry: Cook for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
- Serve warm: Remove from air fryer, cool for a couple of minutes, and enjoy on their own or as toppings.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in the air fryer before serving.
