Description

A delicious twist on the classic Big Mac, wrapped in a soft tortilla for easy handling.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, divided into 8 small patties
  • 8 large flour tortillas (or gluten-free tortillas for a variation)
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • 8 dill pickle slices per wrap (or thinly sliced pickles)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp sweet relish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Make the special sauce: In a bowl combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and sweet relish. Stir until smooth. Chill while you cook the patties.
  2. Form and season patties: Divide the ground beef into 8 small balls and flatten into thin patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the patties: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Add a cheese slice to each patty during the last 30 seconds so it melts slightly.
  4. Warm tortillas: Briefly warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave to make them pliable.
  5. Assemble wraps: Spread 1–2 tablespoons of sauce in the center of each tortilla. Add shredded lettuce, sliced onions, pickles, and a cheesed patty. Fold the bottom up, then roll tightly to enclose.
  6. Optional crisp finish: Place wraps seam-side down on a hot skillet for 1–2 minutes to seal and add a light golden crust.
  7. Serve: Slice in half and serve with extra sauce and a seasonal side like roasted root vegetables or apple slaw.

Notes

Use slightly thinner patties for easier wrapping. Make the sauce ahead of time for better flavor. Warm tortillas to prevent tearing.
