Ingredients
- 1 pound beef liver, sliced into thin pieces
- 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil (or butter)
- 1 cup beef broth (preferably low-sodium)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: 1 teaspoon garlic powder for added flavor
Instructions
- Rinse the beef liver under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
- Sauté the onions in a large skillet with 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until golden brown and caramelized.
- Cook the liver slices in the same skillet, seasoning them with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
- Add beef broth and apple cider vinegar, and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley, over mashed potatoes or a salad.
Notes
Ensure liver is not overcooked to maintain tenderness. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
