Description

A warm and wholesome dish combining beef liver and caramelized onions, perfect for cozy nights.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef liver, sliced into thin pieces
  • 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (or butter)
  • 1 cup beef broth (preferably low-sodium)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon garlic powder for added flavor

Instructions

  1. Rinse the beef liver under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
  2. Sauté the onions in a large skillet with 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until golden brown and caramelized.
  3. Cook the liver slices in the same skillet, seasoning them with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
  4. Add beef broth and apple cider vinegar, and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley, over mashed potatoes or a salad.

Notes

Ensure liver is not overcooked to maintain tenderness. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
