Description

Homemade banana chips that provide a crunchy, healthy snack perfect for fall.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe but firm bananas
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Cinnamon (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
  2. Peel the ripe bananas and slice them thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Add lemon juice over the banana slices and toss gently to coat.
  4. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup if desired and toss again.
  5. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt and cinnamon over the banana slices.
  6. Spread the banana slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 2 to 3 hours, checking every 30 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks. For longer storage, refrigerate them.
