Homemade banana chips that provide a crunchy, healthy snack perfect for fall.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe but firm bananas
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional)
- A pinch of sea salt
- Cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
- Peel the ripe bananas and slice them thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Add lemon juice over the banana slices and toss gently to coat.
- Sweeten with honey or maple syrup if desired and toss again.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt and cinnamon over the banana slices.
- Spread the banana slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 2 to 3 hours, checking every 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks. For longer storage, refrigerate them.
