Description
Deliciously crispy, yet soft, Airfryer Accordion Potatoes are a seasonal favorite that captures the essence of comfort food, perfect for autumn meals.
Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized russet potatoes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil (or melted ghee for a buttery flavor)
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked helps add depth)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (like parsley or thyme)
- Optional: 1/2 cup grated cheese (for added richness)
Instructions
- Rinse and scrub the potatoes to remove any dirt.
- Pat them dry with a towel, ensuring they are completely dry for better crispness.
- Using a sharp knife, carefully slice each potato thinly (about 1/4 inch apart), but do not slice all the way through.
- In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Use a brush (or your hands) to generously coat the potatoes with the oil mixture.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure they’re slightly separated to allow for even cooking.
- Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the potatoes are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
- Once golden brown and irresistible, remove the potatoes from the air fryer.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately while they’re still warm.
Notes
Russet potatoes are ideal for this recipe. Consider adding cheese near the end of cooking for extra richness, and ensure the potatoes are well-spaced in the air fryer for optimal crispness.
