Description

Delicious and healthier turkey meatballs made in an air fryer, perfect for cozy fall evenings with family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey (preferably extra lean)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free if necessary)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley (or 2 tablespoons dried)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/4 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Gather all the ingredients mentioned above.
  2. Mix the meatball mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix until combined; be careful not to overmix.
  3. Form the meatballs: Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs, yielding about 20-24 meatballs.
  4. Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Air fry the meatballs: Lightly coat the basket with cooking spray. Place the meatballs in a single layer and air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Serve and enjoy: Remove the meatballs from the air fryer and serve warm with marinara sauce or over spaghetti.

Notes

Don’t skip preheating for crispy meatballs. Avoid overmixing to keep them tender.
