Description

A warm, inviting dish of salmon glazed in sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, paired with crunchy, oven-roasted broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (4-6 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce (ensure it’s halal-certified)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the salmon: In a bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, honey or maple syrup, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Add the salmon fillets to the bowl and allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the broccoli: While the salmon marinates, wash and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Cook the broccoli: Place the seasoned broccoli in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until crispy and tender, shaking halfway through for even cooking.
  5. Cook the salmon: After the broccoli is done, remove it from the air fryer and set it aside. Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down in the basket. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Serve: Once done, garnish the salmon with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve the air fryer teriyaki salmon alongside the crispy broccoli for a beautiful and wholesome meal.

Notes

Check the salmon’s internal temperature to reach 145°F (63°C) for perfect doneness. For batch cooking, air-fry the salmon in batches to ensure even cooking.
