Description
Tender and juicy steak bites cooked in an air fryer, perfect for cozy fall gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound sirloin steak (or your favorite cut)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the steak: Begin by trimming any excess fat from the sirloin steak. Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes, around 1-inch in size for even cooking.
- Marinate: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme if using. Add the steak cubes and toss well to coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them sit for about 15-30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that the steak bites will get that lovely sear when cooked.
- Cooking: Once preheated, place the marinated steak bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding the basket to ensure even cooking. Air fry the steak bites for about 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Adjust the time according to your preferred level of doneness (8 minutes for medium-rare, 10 for medium).
- Rest and serve: Once the steak bites are cooked to your liking, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. This helps keep the juices locked in. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your cozy meal!
Notes
For best results, don’t skip the marinade and check for doneness using a meat thermometer.
