Description

Light and crispy rice paper churros infused with cinnamon and sugar, perfect for cozy fall gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 10 sheets of rice paper
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Cooking spray or a light drizzle of oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup of sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (for coating)


Instructions

  1. Pour warm water into a shallow dish.
  2. Dip one sheet of rice paper into the water for about 5 seconds until soft, then lay flat.
  3. Combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
  4. Incorporate the warm water little by little until a smooth dough forms.
  5. Roll a portion of the dough into a long strip, about the size of a traditional churro.
  6. Place the dough strip onto the softened rice paper and roll it up like sushi.
  7. Preheat your Air Fryer to 350°F (175°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray.
  8. Place the rolled churros into the Air Fryer basket in a single layer.
  9. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  10. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and coat the churros immediately after cooking.
  11. Serve warm, optionally with dip sauces like melted chocolate or caramel.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. For frozen churros, follow freezing and cooking instructions to maintain crispiness.
