Description
Light and crispy rice paper churros infused with cinnamon and sugar, perfect for cozy fall gatherings.
Ingredients
- 10 sheets of rice paper
- 1 cup of warm water
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Cooking spray or a light drizzle of oil for frying
- 1/4 cup of sugar (for coating)
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Pour warm water into a shallow dish.
- Dip one sheet of rice paper into the water for about 5 seconds until soft, then lay flat.
- Combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
- Incorporate the warm water little by little until a smooth dough forms.
- Roll a portion of the dough into a long strip, about the size of a traditional churro.
- Place the dough strip onto the softened rice paper and roll it up like sushi.
- Preheat your Air Fryer to 350°F (175°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray.
- Place the rolled churros into the Air Fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and coat the churros immediately after cooking.
- Serve warm, optionally with dip sauces like melted chocolate or caramel.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. For frozen churros, follow freezing and cooking instructions to maintain crispiness.
