Ingredients
- 4 slices of thick bread (sourdough or brioche)
- 3/4 cup pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk (or a non-dairy alternative)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- A pinch of salt
- Cooking spray (or a light brush of oil)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Whisk together the pumpkin puree, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Dip thick slices of bread into the pumpkin mixture, soaking for a few seconds on each side.
- Coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the soaked bread slices inside without overlapping.
- Cook the bread for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serve immediately with your favorite toppings like maple syrup or whipped cream.
Notes
Use day-old bread for the best results. Ensure bread is evenly coated without becoming mushy.
