Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 cup of chopped seasonal fruit (such as apples or pears)
  • ½ cup of cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients. Start by ensuring your puff pastry is fully thawed. This usually takes about 30 minutes at room temperature. Meanwhile, preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Make the filling by combining softened cream cheese, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt in a medium bowl. Mix until everything is well incorporated. Gently fold in the chopped seasonal fruit.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a floured surface to smooth out creases. Cut the pastry into squares or rectangles.
  4. Assemble the bites by placing a tablespoon of the fruit and cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square and folding over the corners to create a pocket.
  5. Brush the tops with egg wash for a golden finish.
  6. Air fry the pastries in the basket at 350°F for about 12-15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
