Description

Crispy, golden-brown potato slices made in the air fryer, perfect for a cozy fall snack or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt.
  2. Slice the potatoes into thin even slices, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Soak the slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes for extra crispiness (optional).
  4. Drain and pat the potato slices dry with a clean towel.
  5. Combine the potato slices with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  7. Place a single layer of potato slices in the air fryer basket.
  8. Cook the potato slices for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  9. Remove them carefully from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.

Notes

Ensure slices are uniform for even cooking and feel free to experiment with spices for different flavors.
