Description
Juicy and tender marinated lamb chops, perfectly cooked in an air fryer, embodying the essence of fall.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lamb chops (preferably rib chops)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Optional: A pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick
Instructions
- Prep the lamb chops: Start by patting the lamb chops dry with paper towels.
- Make the marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and optional red pepper flakes.
- Marinate the lamb: Place the lamb chops in a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chops, ensuring each one is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Arrange the lamb chops: Remove the lamb from the marinade and lay the chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook the lamb chops: Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Rest and serve: Remove the lamb chops and let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Opt for quality rib chops for tenderness. Allowing the lamb to marinate longer enhances flavor. Don’t overcrowd the basket during cooking.
