Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized russet potatoes (or your favorite variety)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
- Sea salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, bacon bits (or halal alternatives), broccoli, or any toppings of your choice
Instructions
- Scrub the potatoes under running water to remove any dirt.
- Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- Using a fork, poke several holes in each potato.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the potatoes, ensuring they are well coated.
- Sprinkle with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, rubbing the seasoning into the skin for extra flavor.
- Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes to preheat it.
- Once heated, place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t touch each other.
- Cook for 35-45 minutes, flipping the potatoes halfway through.
- After 35 minutes, check for doneness by inserting a fork into the largest potato.
- Remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Slice them open and fluff the insides with a fork.
- Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
