Description
A warm, comforting jacket potato with a fluffy interior and crispy skin, perfect for fall.
Ingredients
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Your favorite toppings (e.g., sour cream, shredded cheese, scallions, bacon bits, steamed broccoli)
Instructions
- Wash the potatoes: Scrub the potatoes under cold running water to remove any dirt, then dry them thoroughly with a clean kitchen towel.
- Prick the skins: Using a fork, gently prick the skins of each potato about 5-6 times to allow steam to escape during cooking.
- Rub each potato with olive oil, ensuring an even coating. Sprinkle the sea salt and garlic powder (if using) evenly over the tops.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the seasoned potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry the potatoes for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are tender inside and the skin is crispy.
- Let the potatoes cool for a few minutes, then slice them open and fluff the insides with a fork. Add your favorite toppings to enjoy.
Notes
For best results, opt for large russet potatoes and ensure to prick the skins to prevent bursting.
