Description
A delightful autumn side dish featuring honey-infused roasted carrots made in an air fryer for a crispy, tender result.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of fresh carrots, peeled and cut into ½-inch sticks
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the carrots: Begin by peeling the carrots. Slice them into uniform sticks about ½ inch thick to ensure even cooking.
- Make the glaze: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together honey, maple syrup, olive oil, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the carrots: In a large mixing bowl, add the carrot sticks and pour the honey-maple mixture over them. Toss until all the carrots are evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to preheat at 380°F (193°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Cook the carrots: Place the coated carrots into the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they’re not overlapping. Cook for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Check for doneness: When the carrots are tender and caramelized, take them out of the air fryer.
- Serve and garnish: Transfer the roasted carrots to a serving dish, drizzle a bit of additional maple syrup over the top if desired, and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley for a beautiful finish.
Notes
For best results, cut carrots into uniform sizes and do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
