Description

Delicious and comforting Air Fryer Garlic Mushrooms, filled with the flavors of garlic and herbs, perfect as a side dish or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450 g) baby cremini or button mushrooms, wiped clean
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for finishing)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, to brighten)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan or a dairy-free alternative (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  2. Make the garlic mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil or melted butter, minced garlic, thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Toss the mushrooms: Add the mushrooms to the bowl and toss until each mushroom is lightly coated with the garlic-herb oil.
  4. Arrange mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket to avoid overcrowding.
  5. Cook: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Finish and serve: Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle with lemon juice, chopped parsley, and Parmesan if using. Serve warm.

Notes

Wipe mushrooms with a damp cloth instead of washing to prevent sogginess. Use garlic powder for a milder flavor if needed.
