Description
Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, these air fryer chicken thighs are perfect for cozy fall dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 1.5 to 2 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or halal cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a large bowl. Add the chicken thighs to coat them thoroughly in the marinade.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the marinated chicken thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, then serve.
Notes
For best results, let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
