Description

Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, these air fryer chicken thighs are perfect for cozy fall dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 1.5 to 2 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or halal cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a large bowl. Add the chicken thighs to coat them thoroughly in the marinade.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the marinated chicken thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, then serve.

Notes

For best results, let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
