Delicious and crispy air fryer chicken thighs, perfectly seasoned for a cozy fall dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or halal-friendly vegetable oil)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- Combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Add the chicken thighs to the bowl, coating them thoroughly in the marinade.
- Allow the chicken to sit for at least 15 minutes (or refrigerate for up to 2 hours).
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the marinated chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side up.
- Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the chicken thighs from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
Allowing the chicken to marinate longer enhances the flavors. Adjust cooking times for different air fryer models.
