Description
Delight in the savory flavors of Air Fryer Chicken Livers, a perfect dish for cozy fall gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken livers, trimmed and cleaned
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or any preferred oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Livers: Rinse the chicken livers under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels. Remove any visible fat or connective tissue and set them aside.
- Season the Livers: In a large bowl, combine the chicken livers, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme (if using), salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until the livers are evenly coated in the seasoning.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Air Fry the Livers: Arrange the seasoned chicken livers in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Be careful not to overcrowd the basket to ensure even cooking. Cook them for about 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even browning.
- Check for Doneness: The livers should be cooked to a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). If needed, air fry for an additional 2–3 minutes.
- Serve and Enjoy: Once cooked, remove the livers from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or on a bed of greens.
Notes
Choose fresh chicken livers for the best flavor. Avoid overcooking to prevent dryness.
