- 2 cans of sardines in olive oil (check for halal certification)
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: ½ cup breadcrumbs (for added crunch)
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Start by preheating your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Sardines: Open the canned sardines and gently drain the excess oil, reserving a little for flavor.
- Season the Sardines: In a small bowl, mix the lemon juice, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture over the sardines.
- Add Breadcrumbs (Optional): If you want an extra layer of crunch, sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the seasoned sardines.
- Air Fry the Sardines: Carefully place the sardines in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
