Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized apples (such as Honeycrisp or Gala)
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar or a sweetener of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (or omit for nut-free)
  • 1/2 cup raisins or cranberries (optional)
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil or unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (for drizzling)
  • A pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples: Rinse the apples under cool water. Use a sharp knife or apple corer to remove the core, leaving the bottom intact.
  2. Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, chopped nuts, raisins or cranberries, and a pinch of salt. Mix in melted coconut oil or butter until crumbly.
  3. Stuff the Apples: Spoon the oat mixture into each apple, packing down slightly but not overflowing.
  4. Air Fry the Apples: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C). Place the stuffed apples in the basket and air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until tender and golden brown.
  5. Drizzle with Maple Syrup: Remove the apples from the air fryer and drizzle with maple syrup.
