Description
A delightful and healthy recipe featuring tender marinated beef with crisp broccoli, perfect for cozy fall dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or gluten-free soy sauce)
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or sesame oil for flavor)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the beef: In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, sugar, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the sliced beef, ensuring each piece is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for maximum flavor).
- Coat the beef: After marinating, sprinkle the cornstarch over the beef and toss to ensure an even coating.
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Add the beef: Place the marinated beef slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry: Cook the beef for 8-10 minutes, tossing halfway through, until it’s crispy and cooked to your liking.
- Air fry the broccoli: Toss the broccoli florets with a drizzle of vegetable oil and a pinch of salt. Once the beef is done, remove it and add the broccoli. Air fry for 5-7 minutes until tender.
- Combine and serve: In a large bowl, mix the crispy beef and broccoli together. Optionally, drizzle with soy sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
- Enjoy: Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
Notes
Slice the beef thinly against the grain for tender results. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer for best cooking results.
