Ingredients
- 2 large ripe bananas
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (for a vegan option)
- A pinch of cinnamon (optional)
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the bananas by peeling and slicing them thinly, about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
- Add flavor by combining the banana slices with lemon juice, honey (or maple syrup), cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each slice.
- Air fry the banana slices for about 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even crispness.
- Cool down the chips on a wire rack after they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Serve and enjoy the banana chips alone or as a topping for oatmeal or yogurt.
Notes
Store banana chips in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days. For longer storage, freeze separated with parchment paper.
